“Release me, then!”

“Not just yet, but soon.” From the darkness he began to light fresh candles, to gently illume the Signorina. Alfeo had her upon her knees, a large bowl beneath her head, her breasts mashed against a wooden stool, hands bound behind her back with a cord. Naked, Alfeo circled her, lighting more candles.

Mina said nothing.
